Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about BragBracket.
What is BragBracket?
BragBracket is a private sports prediction game for groups of friends, colleagues, or communities. You make predictions on matches, earn points when you're right, and compete on a leaderboard. No money, no gambling — just bragging rights.
Is it free?
Yes. The core experience — invite, predict, compete, brag — is completely free.
How do I start?
Click "Get started" to create a group, then share the invite link with your friends. They join, make their predictions, and the leaderboard does the rest.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is required to join a group and make predictions as a guest. If you want to keep your history across sessions or create your own group, you can sign in with a magic link or Google.
Can my friends join on mobile?
Yes. BragBracket works on any browser, on any device. No app download required.
How is scoring calculated?
Match Calls: exact score = 3 pts, correct result = 1 pt, miss = 0. Cup final Calls (90 min): exact = 8 pts, result = 2 pts. Tournament bracket: champion 20, runner-up 12, semi 6 each, quarter 3 each, group winner 1 each. Match specials: competition winner 5, man of the match 4, penalties 3, extra time 2, first team to score 1. Open the leaderboard in your group and tap "How scoring works" for the full guide.
Can I run this for my company or team?
Yes. BragBracket works great for office competitions, company events, and team tournaments. Contact us at hello@bragbracket.com to discuss setting up a private group for your organisation.
What competitions are supported?
BragBracket supports all major football competitions including the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Premier League, and more. More competitions are added regularly.
Can I predict the group stage standings?
Yes — if your group organiser has enabled the Group Stage Standings picks feature, you'll see a drag-to-order interface on the Picks tab where you can predict how the table will finish.
What are Tournament Picks?
Tournament picks are extra predictions beyond match scores — things like "who will be the top scorer?" or "who scores first in the final?". They're configured by your group organiser and appear on the Picks tab.
My prediction is wrong — can I change it?
Yes, you can update your prediction any time before kickoff. Once the match kicks off, predictions are locked.
What happens if the match is postponed?
Postponed matches keep their predictions locked until the new kickoff time. If a match is cancelled, predictions are refunded (0 points for all).
